Suzuki Reveals RM-Z450
Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd. says
it plans to release a 450cc competition four-stroke in 2004, a
bike it has named the RM-Z450.
The bike is scheduled to be raced in prototype form in the
All-Japan Motocross Championship in October, then join
worldwide competition in ’04. Planned for production in August
2004, the bikes will not be a part of the Kawasaki/Suzuki
alliance. Suzuki says the RM-Z450 features a new 449cc,
four-valve, liquid-cooled engine sitting in an aluminum frame
and surrounded by elements gleamed from the firm’s two-stroke
off-road race machines and inspired by the GSX-R series (most
likely a nod to out-of-the-box race worthiness).
