This time, the weather is on our side and the final round
of the FMF Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals in Paducah,
Kentucky, will be run on a fast track under perfect conditions.
The
race was rained out on its original date, September 23,
and was rescheduled for October 7. This time, sunny skies,
warm temperatures and hard work by promoter Steve Nace
have combined to bring the track to near perfection.
"The
track is in great shape," said Nace, who has been
working the dirt with heavy equipment all week.
All
riders who bought pit passes for the previous date will
be allowed in free, provided they bring their wrist band
with them.
Gates
open at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 6. Practice is set to
begin at 6 p.m. Friday.
Saturday
morning, October 7, practice starts at 8 a.m. with heats
and mains to follow. Pro and Pro-Am practice will be at
5:30 p.m., with heats and semis to follow. Pro, Pro-Am
and other selected class main events will start at 7 p.m.
All racing is scheduled for Saturday.
Sunday
is reserved as a rain date — but the forecast calls
for sunny skies and highs in the low 70s, so it looks
like it won't be needed this time.
