Vegas, Nevada – Best In The Desert Racing
Association is proud to announce the first
Car/Truck event of the 2004 “Silver State
Series,” the Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker
"425". It’s just around the corner; just four
weeks away to one of the largest off-road races
in the United States! Best In The Desert has
once again been awarded the two off-road racing
permits from the Bureau of Land Management from
Lake Havasu City to promote the Parker Events!
The first permit was for the very successful KTM
Parker "250", which was just run January 10th!
It was a great event and the Motorcycle
and Quad community loved the new Parker Python,
a new exciting, spectator friendly course inside
the Main Pit.
Best In
The Desert Racing Association will be promoting
the Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker "425"
event for Cars and Trucks on February 5-8,
2004. Best In The Desert received an
overwhelming response from the Parker Area and
La Paz County Community, and the Colorado River
Indian Tribes for a race well run in 2003 and
are set for another very successful Parker
"425"! Casey Folks, Director of Best In The
Desert, is excited and very proud to have been
selected to promote both of these events with a
newly signed three-year contract!
The Blue
Water Resort & Casino Parker "425" event will be
on February 5-8, 2004, for Cars and Trucks, with
a one-day pre-fun run on Sunday, January 11,
2004. The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker
“425” will be a 135-mile loop and will be raced
three times. Not only is the race a legend but
many of the off-road race legends got their
start in Parker, Arizona. The Blue Water Resort
& Casino Parker “425” event will be billed as
the “The Legend Lives On” with race legends
Larry Ragland, Rod Hall, John Swift and Spencer
Low all racing the Blue Water Resort & Casino
Parker "425"! Yes, you read that right! Race
legend Larry Ragland will be racing the Parker
"425" in the 1400 Unlimited Trick Truck class,
along with his son Chad Ragland. Larry is a
Race Champion with Championships that date back
to the ‘70’s! Best In The Desert is not only
proud to have Larry Ragland racing the Parker
"425" but over 100 incredible race teams that
are all capable of winning the Parker "425" in
their respective classes!
The Blue
Water Resort & Casino Parker “425” will finish
along the beautiful Colorado River. Not only is
the Blue Water Resort & Casino a beautiful
property and right on the river, but finishing
the race along the mighty Colorado is going to
be an awesome experience, an experience and an
adventure you won’t want to miss! The Time
Trial event for start positions will be held on
Thursday, February 5, location and time to be
released at a later date. Registration,
Contingency and Technical Inspection will be
held on Friday, February 6, 2004, from 10am to
6pm, at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino
in Parker, Arizona. Please remember, Arizona is
on Mountain Standard Time, which is one-hour
ahead of West Coast time, so don’t be late for
any of the great events happening February 5-8,
